How to advertise your property

Introduction

Studentpad and the University of Wolverhampton offer the most cost effective and simplest method to let your property/ies quickly and easily. Instead of incurring high costs advertising your property through traditional methods and wasting time and money advertising in places where students don't look, let studentpad.co.uk facilitate the process.

Property management module

By registering you will also be able to utilise a number of features which will help you in your day to day tasks , free of charge. These functions include the ability to allow you to manage your maintenance works, send automatic rent reminders to students and remind yourself when gas certificates are due. New features including contract management, online fault reporting and key management will be available soon.

Advertising

Studentpad works very closely with the University of Wolverhampton and as such you need to join the University of Wolverhampton Scheme (see below for details) to be able to advertise on the web site. The University of Wolverhampton solely use the studentpad software to advertise your properties. In turn, all of the students are referred to wolverhamptonstudentpad.co.uk and it is therefore very successful for registered landlords.

1) Ensure your property is up to the standard required by the scheme.

2) Once your property is completed and ready for inspection please send a cheque, made payable to "University of Wolverhampton", (The registration fee is £75.00 per property for three years) along with your application form or by submitting your details over the Internet see below

3) The inspection .Please note that an inspection can only be arranged once the University is satisfied that all the work has been done to the property to bring it up to the required standard, and they have received the relevant paperwork and payment.

You will also need to ensure we have seen the original CORGI Gas Safety Record and NICEIC Periodic Inspection Report for Electrical Installation and confirmation that any recommended works on them have been completed.

4) Once the property has been inspected, the University will advise you of any remedial works (if any) that are required for it to be granted full Accreditation. Once passed you will be issued your certificate for display in the property. You will also be advertised on this website.

5) The property will then remain registered for three years unless you tell the University otherwise, one of your certificates expire (which advertising will be then withdrawn until renewed) or a serious complaint from a student is received.

Photographs

Up to two photographs may also be included in the advertisement. Photographs although not compulsory do make a huge deference to your advert. This is what one of our customers commented; "many people remarked on the photographs, saying how helpful it was to be able to see photos and complaining that the majority of ads lacked them. Perhaps you could encourage landlords to enclose photos - it's certainly to their advantage" If you want photographs of your property to be taken during an inspection please ask Tina Pennington  in advance
